MONTREAL – December 21, 2021 – Syntax, a leading multi-cloud and multi-mission critical application managed service provider, concluded an exponential year of growth and end to 2021 with several key milestones exceeded, including a $300 million growth investment to continue its global expansion and record momentum.
“We’ve had an exciting year at Syntax with the addition of the Linke and Illumiti teams to strengthen our proven expertise in managing digital transformation in the cloud,” said Christian Primeau, Global CEO of Syntax. “I’m proud of our work and look forward to an even stronger year ahead to serve our more than 800 customers as their trusted IT advisor.”
According to recent data from Syntax’s Innovation Reality Check: A Crisis of Overconfidence in IT, talent shortages are slowing digital transformation timelines. 45% of IT leaders surveyed noted they do not have the talent to migrate to a public cloud.
Syntax’s strategic global expansion has centered around providing customers unparalleled, end-to-end technical and functional support during this transformative era of IT.
A Year of Solid Growth: Earlier this year, the company acquired Linke to expand SAP on Amazon Web Services (AWS) capabilities across the EMEA region . In November, Syntax executed on this goal with the release of CxLink, an advanced business application hyperscaler software development kit that enables SAP customers to innovate with greater ease.
Syntax acquired Illumiti, SAP Platinum Partner and one of the preeminent SAP systems integration and management consultancies in North America, this June. The company also launched the Syntax and AWS SAP Migration Factory to give customers the confidence they need to quickly, securely and cost-effectively migrate their mission critical SAP and integrated applications on AWS. Most recently, Syntax achieved AWS Premier Partner Status in addition to earning its AWS Microsoft Workload Competency and SAP Competency Partner status earlier this year.
Impacting an Industry: As a testament to Syntax’s commitment to innovation, the company released several insightful reports on the state of IT. Syntax partnered with Americas’ SAP User Group (ASUG) for the fifth consecutive year on its annual cloud survey. The report found cloud adoption grew by 15% over the past year, while 73% of organizations not currently using cloud services are planning to consider them, making it imperative to innovate quickly or risk falling behind.
Syntax’s latest report revealed a critical reality check on perception versus reality among IT and finance decision-makers when it comes to enterprise innovation. While many executives ranked themselves on the leading edge — among the top 5% of businesses in each category — their actual capabilities and attitudes reflected a much different picture. AI and analytics projects, for example, caused companies the most significant financial losses over the last year.
Other notable accomplishments for 2021 include the launch of a new mentorship program to empower the next generation of technology professionals and a $20,000 USD donation to Technovation Girls, a global tech education nonprofit that empowers girls to become leaders, creators and problem-solvers.
Recognized Leadership: This year, Syntax has been recognized as a leader in the industry and beyond with several awards including: CRN’s 2021 Managed Service Provider 500 List, Elite 150 category; an SAP Innovation Award for its Smart Press Shop implementation; finalist for the 2021 NC Tech Awards and Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Vendor from Quest Oracle Community.
